Honda has introduced their all new Insight hybrid for this year - and the environmental advances show in this 2010 model.
The competitor to some of auto industry's top hybrid vehicles, Honda has gone above and beyond consumer requests by producing a safe, affordable and eco-friendly gas-electric hybrid car.
2010's Honda Insight hybrid rates at 400 miles per charge when it comes to range of the electric motor. Regenerative brakes help keep the vehicle juiced at a partial level. Each time you brake you are giving the car a little boost of power.
Insight seats five comfortably. It includes a futuristic dash board and optional voice activated navigational and entertainment software.
Honda also developed an "Eco Assist" system for the Insight. This computerized coach will train drivers, helping them achieve the best possible fuel economy. The Insight's unique system marks a new era of motoring where manufacturers and individual drivers share responsibility for their final fuel consumption.
Two trim level options are available for the Honda Insight - an entry level SE and the higher specification ES. Both variants are available for upwards of $4500 in government tax credit, given to buyers of environmentally friendly vehicles.
