If you've ever walked around a Honda dealership such as Diamond Honda of Puente Hills, serving the greater City of Industry area, you've likely noticed that the majority of models ranges feature a sticker featuring one of three acronyms: ULEV, PZEV or AT-PZEV. Well, if you've ever wondered what these stickers mean, here's your answer.

-          ULEV : Ultra-Low-Emission Vehicle (i.e., the new Honda Crosstour)
-          PZEV: Partial-Zero-Emission Vehicle (i.e., the new Honda Insight Hybrid)
-          AT-PZEV: Advanced Technology Partial-Zero-Emission Vehicle (i.e., the new Honda Civic Hybrid)

The reason we're bringing these stickers up is because consumers aren't the only ones noticing Honda's push to lower emissions across their lineup. A very notable organization, the Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP) is too.

In fact, the CDP has just released their ninth annual Global 500 Report and Honda has earned a place on two exclusive indexes. Such an honor is based on scrupulous research and analysis and proves Honda really is one of the leaders of the pack when it comes to both carbon disclosure and carbon leadership.

To put the grandeur of this achievement into perspective, consider that only 52 companies were featured on the Carbon Disclosure Leadership Index - and just 29 on the Carbon Performance Leadership Index. And, of all Japanese companies ranked on the Carbon Disclosure Leadership Index, Honda scored the highest.

" Honda realizes that its proactive efforts in addressing climate change issues resulted in this recognition by CDP simultaneously in CDLI [Carbon Disclosure Leadership Index] and CPLI [Carbon Performance Leadership Index]," the company states in a recent press release. "Honda will further enhance its environmental activities globally and locally in each region while at the same time taking a proactive approach to further advance its information disclosure practices."¹
